NCCS Clarifies ITSAR Applicability for ONU Under PON ER

The National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) has issued a new notification regarding the ‘ONU’ variant listed under ER ‘PON Family of Broadband Equipment.’ As outlined in the Scope section of the ITSAR ‘NCCS/ITSAR/Customer Premises Equipment/PON CPEs/Optical Network Terminal (ONT) – PON Family Broadband Equipment-V1.0.1’ (released on 24.11.2023), the ITSAR applies to both ONT and ONU devices. Accordingly, all instructions, circulars, OMs, and notifications issued by NCCS

As outlined in the Scope section of the ITSAR ‘NCCS/ITSAR/Customer Premises Equipment/PON CPEs/Optical Network Terminal (ONT) – PON Family Broadband Equipment-V1.0.1’ (released on 24.11.2023), the ITSAR applies to both ONT and ONU devices.

Accordingly, all instructions, circulars, OMs, and notifications issued by NCCS for ONT are also applicable to ONU, effective from the date of issuance of these orders.
