
MTCTE: Avoid Duplicate Applications to Prevent Cancellation
TEC has clarified that OEMs must not submit multiple MTCTE applications for the same equipment with the same model number if a valid Certificate already exists. Any existing duplicate applications/certificates must be reported to TEC by email to adgtc2-tec-dot@gov.in before 31st of Jan 2026. TEC has clarified that OEMs must not submit multiple MTCTE applications for the same equipment with the same model number if a valid Certificate already exists.
- Any existing duplicate applications/certificates must be reported to TEC by email to adgtc2-tec-dot@gov.in before 31st of Jan 2026.
- If duplicate applications are detected later, all ongoing applications will be rejected, and existing certificates may be cancelled.
- Applications for addition of Associated Models are allowed only if there is no HW/SW change, along with a prescribed declaration.
OEMs are advised to review their MTCTE applications to avoid non-compliance.
