This extension provides additional time for manufacturers and stakeholders to align with the new regulatory requirements.
Revised Implementation Timeline
- 1 October 2026:Large Scale Manufacturers
(Earlier implementation date for large-scale manufacturers was 17 March 2026)
- 1 January 2027: Small-Scale Manufacturers
- 1 April 2027: Micro Scale Manufacturers
Key Exemptions
- Up to200 unitsimported for Research & Development purposes
- Products manufactured domestically for export
This extension has been introduced to support manufacturers by providing additional time to meet the compliance requirements as per IS 302 (Part 1).
