Regulatory Update From DPIIT-BIS on Flux Cored Solder Wire 

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has officially withdrawn the “Flux Cored Solder Wire (Quality Control) Order, 2023 as per IS 15769:2008.” 

As per the latest notification issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on 12 January 2026, this Quality Control Order is no longer applicable.
This order has been withdrawn with immediate effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Any actions taken before this rescission will remain valid. 

This update is important for manufacturers, importers, and other stakeholders dealing with flux-cored solder wire, as BIS certification under this specific QCO is no longer mandatory.
