The Ministry of Communications (Department of Telecommunications) has officially published G.S.R. 468(E), introducing the Use of Short-Range Automotive Radar System in the 77–81 GHz Band (Exemption from Licensing Requirements) Rules.
This means companies no longer need a frequency assignment to use these bands for the Short-Range Automotive Radar System. All devices operating in this band can must obtain ETA-SD (Equipment Type Approval – Self Declaration) through the online portal to ensure compliance.
