The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has enabled Bulk Consumer Registration on the EPR Portal for End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) under the Environment Protection (End-of-Life Vehicles) Rules, 2025.
Who needs to act?
Any entity owning more than 100 vehicles — including State Transport Undertakings, logistics companies, fleet operators, and large corporate transport departments.
What’s the deadline?
Since the Bulk Consumer Registration is now live, eligible entities should register promptly to avoid compliance gaps. The ELV Rules, 2025, are already in effect.
What does compliance involve?
- Registering on the CPCB’s EPR portal as a Bulk Consumer
- Ensuring end-of-life vehicles are channelled only to Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs)
The framework aims to ensure that End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) are managed through the prescribed regulatory mechanism and channelled to Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) for proper and traceable scrapping.
At Vincular, we support businesses with EPR registration and end-to-end compliance across various waste streams, helping organizations navigate evolving environmental regulations.
