A new update has been introduced under the End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) Rules, 2025. CPCB has now activated the EPR Certificate Generation & Transfer Module on the centralised portal for Producers and Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs).
Who comes under this?
- Producers – Companies involved in manufacturing, assembling, importing, or selling vehicles under their own brand.
- RVSFs – Authorised vehicle-scrapping facilities responsible for dismantling and recycling end-of-life vehicles.
What’s New on the Portal?
- Registered RVSFs can now transfer EPR credits directly to authorised Producers through the portal.
- Entities that are still not registered are advised to complete their registration on the centralised CPCB portal to avoid compliance issues in the future.
This update is a significant step towards smoother implementation of ELV EPR compliance and better tracking of certificate transactions.
