CBIC Launched New Online System ACE under SWIFT 2.0

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has launched a new online system called ACE (Automation of Certificate of Exemption) to simplify the issuance of Concessional Customs Duty Certificates (CCDC) and CRO Exemption Certificates by MeitY.     

This initiative is part of the government’s SWIFT 2.0 (Single Window Interface for Facilitating Trade) and Digital India program, aimed at making trade processes faster, more transparent, and paperless.     

What is SWIFT?  

SWIFT is an online system developed by the Government of India to make import and export processes simpler, quicker, and more efficient.   

What is ACE?  

ACE is a digital platform designed to streamline and accelerate applications for:  

• Concessional Customs Duty Certificates (CCDC)- a certificate that gives companies permission to pay less import tax on certain goods.  

• CRO Exemption Certificate- Permission from MeitY to import certain regulated products without BIS certification.  

Key Update:  

From now on, both application submission by users and processing by MeitY officers will be handled entirely online via the SWIFT portal.

• Applicants must apply only through ACE, accessible at:  https://foservices.icegate.gov.in
