Grid-connected solar inverters have officially moved from the voluntary to the mandatory regime under the BEE Standards & Labeling (S&L) Scheme, effective January 2026.
Products Covered Under the BEE S&L Scheme
The mandatory labelling requirement applies to:
- Grid-connected (on-grid) solar inverters without energy storage
- Single-phase and three-phase inverters
- Inverters with rated output up to 100 kW
- Products that are BIS safety certified and compliant with BEE efficiency norms
