The Saral Sanchar (WPC) Portal has been updated in accordance with GSR 47(E), issued on 20 January 2026. Applicants can now include the 6 GHz de-licensed frequency band (5945–6425 MHz) while applying for the WPC ETA-SD certificate. The Saral Sanchar (WPC) Portal has been updated in accordance with GSR 47(E), issued on 20 January 2026. Applicants can now include the 6 GHz de-licensed frequency band (5945–6425 MHz) while applying for the WPC ETA-SD certificate.

Key Points: 

New Applications: The 6 GHz band (5945–6425 MHz) can now be included under ETA-SD filings.

Already Certified Devices: If an existing certified device/model is now enabling 6 GHz (via software update or otherwise), applicants must:

• Withdraw the existing ETA-SD certificate
• Submit a fresh ETA-SD application 

Special Cases: In specific scenarios, applicants may approach WPC for guidance regarding certificate modification.
